Pigmint is a color-identification app for iOS. This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is handled.
Pigmint collects no personal data and does not transmit any information off your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
Pigmint requests access to your device's camera so you can point it at a color or take a photo to identify. Camera frames are processed entirely on-device in real time to extract color information. No images or video are saved, shared, or transmitted anywhere.
Pigmint requests read access to your photo library so you can choose an existing image to identify a color from. Selected images are loaded on-device for color sampling only. No images are copied, stored, or transmitted outside the app.
Pigmint stores the following data locally on your device only:
This data never leaves your device. It is not synced to any server, including iCloud (unless you have enabled iCloud backups for your device, in which case it may be included in your personal device backup managed by Apple).
Pigmint does not use any analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising services. No usage data, identifiers, or behavioral information is collected or shared.
Pigmint does not make any network requests. All color matching is performed on-device using a bundled color dataset derived from the xkcd color survey, released under CC0.
Pigmint does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Changes will only occur if the app's data practices change (for example, if a future version adds a feature that involves data collection).
